ABOUT CMAT:

Stands for: Common Management Admission Test

Common name: CMAT

Exam type: national level

Purpose: Admission into all management programs

Approved by: AICTE (ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION)

 

AICTE launched CMAT to reduce the burden of students in attending to multiple examinations for admission into different management colleges and business schools. Till 2015, CMAT was held two times  in a year but last year the practice was abolished as AICTE decided to hold the exam once a year on the third Sunday of January month.

The total duration of this test 3 hours. From the earlier information this exam conducted in a period of nine days in two shifts at 61 locations in all over major cities of India.

The question paper comprises four sections:

AICTE now also decided to conduct CMAT in foreign countries to get admission into the india top most management schools.

  • Graduates with 50% in any discipline
  • Final year students of Graduate Courses can have a chance to apply
